Time is money and a cent saved is worth everything. Time management is the act or process of taking caution and calculating time spent on each and every activity to maximize revenue for the company. All employees in any business need to learn how to spend their company time so that they increase their productivity and efficiency to bring in good returns for the business.
Different businesses have different way of managing their time for its employees and some use timetables. Timetables are charts that show what task is to be done and at what time and for how long. This is common in shift related jobs or schools. This is put in place so that the specific worker can know they need to be where at what time and doing what and even where next to be. This enables them to plan their time well and maximize each and every opportunity they have working on any project.

 

Without planning of time well, people tend to do so many things at the same time and by the end of the day, they realize they have not finished any. Some people even tend to engage in other personal matters and fail to accomplish their work related duties well and on time hence reducing their productivity. Every business is meant to either make profit or be able to sustain itself for as long as it can. Profit making business need to make profits that will be able to get ploughed back into the business or increase its share capital and become more successful by expanding. Non-profit making businesses need to be able to sustain themselves so that they can continue doing whatever it is that they do in the market.
A business that has its employees being conscious of time spent, it increases its chances on being more productive and successful that one that does not manage time well. So, how do we make sure that the employees are spending the company time well? By training the employees on the importance of time management and formulating a working timetable or programme that will enable them follow and be at the right place at the right time. Additionally, you can try and create a reward system for the most time conscious employee or the employee with high productivity. Maybe reward them with some of the best direct tv deals. This will in turn try to encourage them to observe time and work within their limits of time. This can extend to the logging in time or leaving time after job. Some employees may tend to be late at work for different reasons or excuses and some leave very early than it is time. This habit can reduce the productivity of the company and it may lead to losses of the business. There needs to be a well understood programme that states clearly arriving time and leaving time. No employee is allowed to jus t come in late or leave early at their will. If any need arises for this, make up time should b e planned for.
